[EN] Grassi Museum Leipzig

Aller guten Dinge sind Drei

Johannisplatz 5-11
04103 Leipzig

The Grassi Museum has a very modest appearance. Even the exterior is not the most attractive and exudes the charm of one of those dull museums that you were once ‘allowed’ to visit on school trips. But, as we all know, it’s what’s on the inside that counts and that’s what’s really impressive! The Grassi Museum, a museum quarter in the heart of Leipzig, actually has a lot to offer: a museum of applied arts, an ethnological museum and the Musical Instrument Museum of the University of Leipzig – all museums of international importance.
Incidentally, the latter two are characterised by the fact that they convey their contents in a particularly interactive and playful way and are therefore also popular with children (really!). The green oases in the inner courtyards of the art deco building complex invite you to take a breather from too much input and if you get a little (or a lot) hungry, you can treat yourself in the museum’s own café/restaurant. The chef specialises in seasonal and regional cuisine in the spirit of sustainability. Have you got a taste for it?
